| The Short Version: An experienced photographer, Jim is versatile, dependable, and will not disappoint. The Long Version: Beginning his photography career as a photojournalist, Jim honed his skills as a visual storyteller and in the process won nine Virginia Press Associations awards for Excellence in Photography. Since then, he has been shooting advertising and editorial assignments for magazines, ad agencies, and corporations. Based in Reston, Virgina, Jim shoots assignments for a host of long-time clients in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. In 2009, Mountain Trail Press published Jim's first solo book, Harpers Ferry, A Crossroads in Time. The 120-page book tells the remarkable story of the historic West Virgina town with photographs and words. Jim also sells stock photography of the greater Washington region. His range of stock images include outdoor activities, scenics, travel, wildlife, places of historic interest, and people engaged in recreational and other exurban lifestyle pursuits. |
